The volume includes the critical edition of the second concerto for violin and orchestra M. S. 48 and of the Couvent du Mont Saint Bernard M. S. 67, a composition closely related to the previous one because it appears in some of the autograph manuscript parts that hand down the concert. After the description of the facies which the two compositions have taken over time and a discussion about their history, success and performance-related issues, the concert is presented in the instrumentation corresponding to the first draft by the author and the Couvent du Mont Saint Bernard in the complete version.
The score is followed by the arrangement for violin and piano of all the pieces.
